“Windows, Doors & Time Machines" is about the beautifully weird and individual human liminal spaces that people create when communicating over national boundaries and time zones. It is a non-linear dance-theater piece with video and live feed projections that expresses the places in-between that complicate our sense of identity and space. Specifically, it is the result of ongoing work by Jennifer Gwirtz in San Francisco and Apryl Renee Pipe in Hong Kong, two women who are seven thousand miles and fifteen time zones apart. The live performances will take place in 2016 both in Hong Kong and in San Francisco.
